As in a domestic environment, bookshelves installed in offices also serve two functions: that of storing books and objects and that of being a decorative element.

In the Spaces project at Marquês de Pombal, in Lisbon, this is particularly notorious. Through custom-made bookcases, the Spaces' ground floor lounge has become a more appealing and colorful space, serving to house its inspiring book collection.

Based on the designs of the Hyphen studio, which developed the entire interior architecture project, Bamer produced several types of shelving for the lounge: some more solid in oak and others more transparent with solid wood structure and lacquered shelves.

While the first serve for more complete storage, with space for books and sometimes with lockers, the second serves to mark the transition to the cafeteria area and to the stairs that lead to the upper floor, all produced with high attention to detail and functionality.
